Clubhouse, the audio app that has taken the world of live podcasts by storm for iOS users, has officially released an Android beta version. The announcement comes two months after Clubhouse revealed that it would be expanding to those with Android phones before the summer.
The Clubhouse was founded a little more than a year ago to create a more connected place for people worldwide and gather to listen in on or participate in organic conversations. The app has given users a new way to share their personal experiences, discuss differences, learn from one another, deepen friendships, and meet new people, particularly in a year when socializing in person has become more complex.
The Clubhouse has now revealed that it will begin rolling out its beta for Androids immediately to expand its global scope. The software is only available in the United States, with other English-speaking countries receiving access to the Android edition ahead of the world. Clubhouse plans to test the platform with the first users over the next few weeks, finalizing club creations and payments before expanding globally.
Clubhouse is now available for download on the Google Play Store for Android users.
