How Does DuckDuckGo Make Money?
DuckDuckGo generates revenue in two ways:-
(1) Advertising:
It is a misconception that search engines must monitor you to make money from Web searches. When you enter a search term, it will display an ad focused solely on that search term. (i.e Ads will be displayed according to the user’s Search Query)
When you enter a search term, it will display an ad focused completely on that search term. For example, if you type in “car,” the search engine would display the advertisements related to the Car. This does not involve tracking since it is based on a keyword rather than an individual.
