Creators of Instagram Live videos and Instagram Reels will have a greater understanding of how their content is consumed after Instagram released insights for both formats on Monday.
Instagram Live users will see metrics such as the number of accounts reached, feedback, peak concurrent viewers, and shares.
Additionally, Reels’ creators will be able to see the number of accounts reached, comments, likes, plays, saves, and shares.
All of this data will also be used in account insights, providing creators with a detailed view of the effect of their Instagram Live and Reels content over time.
Instagram says in a blog post that “we know that learning more about how content is delivered is vital, so we’ve developed new breakdowns that provide clarity into the types of accounts you’re targeting, and which content formats are the most successful at driving reach.”
Instagram announced that it would begin rolling out new preset time frame options in insights over the next few months, in addition to the existing options of the last seven days and last 30 days, as well as support for insights on desktop.
According to Facebook, “We recognize that feedback is a valuable resource for creators and companies seeking to expand their audience and engage their followers. Throughout 2021 and beyond, we will constantly be upgrading the insights experience to better suit the needs of creators and businesses.“
