Satish Venkateshwarlu, the owner of Thop TV App, was arrested on Tuesday by the Maharashtra cyber cell. For streaming and transmitting content of TV channels, due to which the channels have faced heavy revenue and viewership losses.
According to media sources, Star India launched a lawsuit against Thop TV before the ICC World Test Championship final. The media company said that the android software aggregator is a pirate application. That provides unauthorized access to films, series, and live sports on television and video-on-demand material.

Thop TV, which has more than 3000+ live streaming channels, rose to popularity due to their all-in-one-place availability of popular apps like Netflix, AirtelTV, and Zee5. Because the app was illegal, it was not accessible for download from the official Google Play store.
